From this recent thread:
https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...odular-bed-liner-diy-instructions-tips.36046/
I noticed that this more recent install of the modular bedliner has a different front panel and clip. As we know, the clip is held on by 2-way tape that doesn't last. I've replaced mine with wider gorilla tape and it's starting to give way.
Notice the blue truck vs the red. the clip is visibly larger. Also notice the red arrow. This height of the front panel is lower than before. The older verion the panel goes under the bed caps, while this version does not. Also, the OP of the other thread mentioned that the panel itself was flat as a board. In others (including mine) it was very cupped/warped out of the box and required quite a lot of bending to get it reasonably flat.
My theory is that Ford/Penda has quietly changed the design because of the front fitment issues. I spoke to my dealer's parts department and they stated the part number is unchanged, so there's no way to know if they changed it. Ford accessories stated that the bedliner has a 2-year warranty so I would need to take it to the service department so they can put in paperwork.
I will give that a try and report back. I really regret not getting the factory spray-in liner, but at the time I did not want to risk delaying my order at all.
