Hello everyone!
My name is Troy and I just wanted to introduce myself, I purchased my LOBO in November 2025 and it is a LOBO Low. I've done some of the necessary mods like the 3D printed Rear wheel well inserts, Leaf baskets, tailgate wire inserts and stuff like that. I've painted the calipers Ford Blue as well.
Recently I installed an amp, sub and new front speakers and have to say it is well worth it! The Stock radio isn't much and there are rattles when you turn it up past 14 on some bassier songs. I took the door panels out and installed all the sound insulation I could including Butyl Tape! when installing the new Recoil RMC65 components. I used my 3D printer to print some adapters as well but it turned out nice and even with the stock amp they sounded night and day better.
Next was the Amp, I chose a Recoil DI550 which is a 4-channel amp. I used 2 channels for the front speakers and bridge the other 2 for the Sub. Speaking of the Sub, I chose an NVX ESW104, which is a modest 250W RMS 4 ohm sub. I needed a few accessories as well to make things work with the stock radio. I needed a Line Out Converter and went with Recoil LOC4, as well as a 12 ft Recoil PCI412 4-channel RCA cable set. Then I purchased this Drivers side Sub box to put that NVX Sub in - https://www.ebay.com/itm/306626631691
Took me a while to run everything and splice into the factory wiring, the longest time spent believe it or not, was finding the correct Fuse to use for the Remote Turn-on! Lots of help here on the forum so thanks everyone! I ended up using Fuse 10 with a fuse tap which is for the Extended Power Module, this turns on when the radio is turned on and or when you unlock the doors, then turns off 10 minutes if there is no activity.
After that I had to set levels and get into ForScan and turn that EQ off to FLAT, OMG, the difference that change makes is night and day. You MUST turn that EQ off if you're amplifying the signal, your subwoofer and amplifier will thank you as well as your ears.
Last I decided to 3D print a Lobo Logo for the Dash and I think it turned out great!
Anyways, I know this is a lot but I typically don't post too much on forums... but I used to when I was on FocalJet and Focus Fanatics (I'm still a big Ford Focus Fan!). Thanks for looking and for all of the help here everyone.
