Did anyone else hear Tim Barth of Long McArthur Ford in Salina, Kansas state the new date for purchasing our Mavericks is MAY 2022? I know he recently said it would be January 2022 but now moved up to May? Did I misunderstand ? I ordered in mid July so the thought of a 10 month delivery is quite aggravating. I wish Toyota would get something designed for a compact truck. ……..or Honda. The price would most likely be
at least 10k more, though. Both would have to match the Maverickā€˜s
EPA rated 42 mpg hybrid to suit me.
I’m just curious at this point if I misunderstood Tim Bartz when he stated that all hybrid Mavericks will be ready for sale in May?

If I saw the same video you're talking about, I'm pretty sure he mentioned that if you ordered after 10/21, your delivery date was likely going to be in May. Given you ordered in July, I would expect you will likely be among the "early" Hybrids reportedly going out in January.

At some point I would no longer what a 2022. I believe, It should turn in to a 2023 if delivered after April or May.

Here is the link to the video your referring too. At 33:00 he goes into detail about ordering now and when you would likely get the vehicles. I believe they are optimistic dates for ordering today.

I ordered 26 July and have a 12/13 build date.

The problem is that you would give up your spot by canceling your current 2022 Maverick and then placing a 2023 order.

Ordering a 2023 Maverick would again start a new process flow, place order then wait for scheduling to start then wait for build date then wait to be build then wait for delivery. So even if 2023 ordering does start in June 2022 don't expect your 2023 Mavenick until 2023.

I feel it's pretty risky giving up a 2022 order and going 2023. Unless money means nothing to you. I have no inside information but do believe this entry level pricing will increase for 2023. Also I do not believe dealers will continue to do MSRP or better in 2023 and beyond.
