Maverick PVC bed bike rack?

We have a pair of 20-inch fat tire ebikes that we'd like to transport in the bed of our Maverick (when/if it ever gets here). Has anyone built a bike rack from 1" or 1.25" PVC pipe to fit in the bed of their Maverick? I know Ford has a flex bed option of carrying bikes with the front wheels removed and the front forks locked in place, but we'd like to transport the bikes standing up with the front wheels held in a rack. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks.

You don't need a rack, forgo all that and just get two motorcycle tie down straps with softloops integrated into the strap.

Put the tire into a bed groove, tighten down the front forks, boom done.
