One person posted how they had used a hinge for the center of their bed separator, this way they could fold it in half instead of lifting it out and also store it easier when folded in half. I thought that was a pretty smart addition to the simpler 2x6 I’m currently using.

First my trucks on order so when I ask a question later it's because I don't know yet. I'm not going to worry just pull it out and lay it down on the beds floor if I haul anything. Okay the question I'm asking is to hopefully help the OP or someone else needing a place to put the divider. If you split the divider 2x6 and fold it with having a hinge it should be 3" wide approximatly. Behind the backseat is there enough room 3 inches wide by 5.5 inches tall. I figured the length wouldn't be an issue if halved by a hinge but seeing I don't have a Maverick yet I don't know if that space would accommodate it.

There is a fair amount of room behind the rear seat and it very well might fit especially if you don’t have a Lariat/B&O sound system. I’d also say it could fit under the seat if folded in half, if you don’t have a hybrid. The ecoboost has a lot more room under the rear seat.

Thanks, hopefully it will help the OP or others wanting a place for storage.

Here’s my hinged divider. I never tried putting it behind the rear seat. I’ll try it and let you know. I just laid it on the rear seat

Thanks. I like the idea of smaller board with plates on the ends for the slots. Makes it a lot lighter to handle. Like the hinge will try behing the back seat. thought maybe some shelf hangers on the back plate at an angle would work. dunno
