Just for the heck of it tonight, I spent some time on the Bronco forums. Maverick buyers, if you think we have it bad. There are folks on there that have been waiting 18 months. On top of that, some dealers are asking for $20-25,000 mark-ups. Yikes !

After this shit show- if I knew anyone ordering a Bronco I would strongly discourage them. If this wasn’t the best hybrid on the market I would have cut bait long ago.

I have a Bronco order in. I was told to realistically expect 2 years minimum and I'm completely cool with that. I don't even bother browsing the forums there like I do here but you're right about the wait times for the Bronco making this seem like nothing.

The 2.5 hybrid powertrain is super reliable and has withstood the test of time since it's been around for a while. I feel that this is a software issue with some sensors and fueling in very very cold weather scenarios. I'm sure Ford will figure it out. Even with the remote start issue I would place the hybrid powertrain as superior in terms of reliability over the ecoboost.

Not nearly as reliable. Ford updated the 2.0 ecoboost recently to try and tackle the block/coolant issues that have plagued it in the past. Who knows if it makes a difference in the long term.
