So I got @Maxzina 's bed divider. It's basically a 3 n 1. Bed Divider, Bed Extender and Table.

Here's some of those in's n out's. Easy install, 15 minutes, need T50 star key for top bolt and I used and 8mm socket for the bottom bolt. Definitely compatible with a tailgate assist. Just install the bracket for extender against the truck first, then the assist. Also good to go with Maxzina's retractable ratchet straps near the tailgate.

It was almost a no go because the foot pegs, when in "divider" mode, were in the way of my retractable tonneau cover handles. But it seems that issue had been addressed, just not mentioned in the directions. There is another location to screw in the foot pegs, that remedies my issue.

I'm keeping it in at all times. I'm liken the fact that I got a full bed back after losing it to my retractable tonneau cover. If for some reason I need it removed, were talking 2 minutes and it's gone and it folds in half like a table because it is also a table. Similar to a coffee table and comes with a storage bag. Come on, that's pretty cool in my book.

Thanks for advice! In case of similar issues in the future, we can consider adopting this method to avoid them. :sunglasses:
