Confirmed order July 15 2021 for a carbon gray XLT 2.0 AWD LUX with 4k. No build date yet. Seriously Ford-No Excuse. I would love to just give up and buy something else, anything else. But now I am just determined to see it through. Just to see if I actually get this truck this year. I can only hope some other manufacturer puts out something similar at a similar price point.

Id love to know why on earth folks who ordered back in JUL have no build date but folks who ordered in like DEC are getting one. Is it the bed liner recall issue? A particular addon that delays them and they dont have the parts or stock?

If it’s a Hybrid, then yeah. All things being equal, the hybrid engine is the biggest delayed item.

I think we know the real answer is because the same vehicle can be sold with $5k markup if dealer orders or "customer " ordered with higher priority. It's always about the money. With your build it is more surprising though. Ford seems to prefer to make the high dollar ones first.
