Inventory availability in central Ohio

Just received an inventory update for central Ohio - Richard Ford, Hamilton Rd, Groveport, OH has 15 “just arrived” Maverick XL models, 8 hybrids and 7 Ecoboost! All but one are Oxford White. The hybrids only add on is Copilot 360. Sticker price shows 22k for hybrid, 23k for Ecoboost. These are marked as “special order” from 2/9/22 thru 2/25/22 order dates! FYI!

These must be a fleet order or something that is accidentally getting pushed out via their system as “available”, no?

Not sure of the particulars but this is the second inventory notification I’ve received. Just makes me angry seeing all these trucks going to one dealer when there are soooo many of us still waiting for outs!

I think that would have to be a world record of just 2 months from order to "just arrived" in 2 months!

Also, ford stopped taking orders for Hybrids mid November and Ecos January 27th and that order window Feb 9-25 is after cutoff dates. Smells like a scam to me

All too aware of the order windows. Got mine in before the cutoff. All the trucks listed have VIN numbers listed as well. Might have to call to see what’s the deal!

Per Germain, anything marked "special order" is an ordered vehicle, pre-sold, where someone, or some fleet ordered the vehicles. In some cases they do hit the market, that's how i got mine, but in most cases, they are already spoken-for.. Honestly, if the manufacturers could just be more transparent with what is actually an available vehicle, it would make searching a lot easier.

Sounds like a fleet order to me. I don't think they were held to the same order window that retail customers are.
