Greetings all and thank you for maintaining this group!

I picked up my XLT Tremor on August 10 (ordered Sept 2022/built July 2023) and I've noticed an intermittent thud (sounds more like a small rock hitting the windshield) when using my right turn signal at low speeds. In fact, the first time, I actually thought a pebble hit the windshield. But it's happened several times since (few times a day) so I know that's not the issue. It's now obvious that the noise is from inside the truck.

I'll contact the dealer next week but was curious if anyone else has ran into this. Any thoughts?

Regards,

Brandon

Yes, I’ve noticed what seems to match your description. I would call it an aggressive click, coming from what seems the bottom left area of the windshield, when using the right turn blinker… very odd!? I also have an XLT Tremor….

Hey there. I can look into your Maverick’s noise concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

Noticed it too, just been ignoring it since it doesn't happen too often and doesn't seem to hurt anything

Maybe there a dead mouse in there that ate through the turn signal wire insulation. And when you put on turn signal it sends an electrical current that causes a reflex reaction in dead mouses leg and that’s bumping the underside of dash.

It could be this: In current vehicles, the sound is created electronically via a small speaker in the dash or the audio system. The sound was recreated to resemble the sound of the mechanical “blinker" relay in older vehicles that could be heard “switching" on and off while the turn signal was active.

You may have a defective speaker in one of the corners of the front dashboard.

Just speculation by me.

Thanks for the response and sorry for the delay on my end...I blinked my eyes and it was suddenly December. Your description of an "aggressive click" is accurate indeed. I thought a pebble or other flying debris hit the left side of the windshield the first time I heard it.
