Install question on the BAK X4s

The rubber seals seem to be too long on the rails. Is that normal? Did anyone either trim trim them or put additional adhesive down? Just wondering if they will start peeling up after a while.

I ordered through RealTruck and got a nice 15% discount. Great customer service also. I had a damaged corner piece but BAK is going to send me a replacement.

I receive the 2024 Hybrid Lariat 01mar2024 and love it. I ordered it July 2023.
