Thank's for the invite, after an exhaustive search for my next ride I am excited to be waiting for my Maverick Lariat. I came close to putting a deposit down on a fairly loaded White XLT that was only a few weeks away and the original purchasers back out, but I waited a little too long. So I decided I will just order it to what I want and wait. My current drive is a 2008 Saturn Vue and it is still a great SUV, I just don't want to push my luck with a 15 year old vehicle that has been discontinued.

I was originally looking for a plug-in or regular hybrid SUV. AWD was on the list... I had thought about a truck but I did not want something that takes up so much space to park. My local Ford dealer had a plain Jane XL on the lot and I loved the size.

I put my order in yesterday; Hybrid, Carbonized Gray, Lariat - Luxury Package with the Black Appearance. The dealer said to get some of the extras dealer installed as it might speed up delivery.

I am thinking spray-in liner, and the hard box cover.

Welcome, you must in Canada because the order banks in the U.S.A. have been closed for months. Hope you get yours built but know that some people here placed orders for a 2022 and are still waiting for their truck to be built.

I’d be interested to know if yours gets built this model year with such a late order date.

Howdy- before you read endless posts on orders and allocations just know that YES your order is fine. Canada never got cut off like America. I ordered in Feb and mine is already scheduled for production. Hopefully though your dealer was honest like mine was and gave you a realistic expectation

Yes, my sales person explained the possible wait with no promises. He also explained I might have to re-order for a 2024 if necessary at the new cost and possible changes to the packages. As I mention in my OP I am not in a hurry.

Can I ask what dealership you used? (I'm in Calgary.)
I ordered May/22 and was told a few weeks ago that it might be September before we see it.

At this point, I'd be happy to place another order if I thought it would expedite it.
