Hardwire console cigarette lighter?

I have a 2022 Ford Maverick XLT. The console cigarette lighter that I have a multi-USB charge plugged in only works when the truck is running. The same thing on my old Honda CRV had the same thing and I went to an auto electronic business and had it rewired to always be on. Would you suggest I do the same thing to my new Maverick? Also, the flat cell phone deck on the console appartenly only works for the Lariet models. Could this be rewired to work in my XLT? Your thoughts will be appreciated.

I had the same issue and had to reset the BMS. Turn the key to the on position (dont start it). Clear the notifications from the screen. Flash the bights 5 times and then press the break 3 times. You should see the battery flash on the screen.

Check and the port should work for 90 minutes after the truck shuts off.

If that doesn't work and you just need USB ports, check this out. This is what I am going to order if mine has a problem again.
