I am a piano tuner/tech. The box with rollup tonneau and a 2x6 up near the cab keeps my tool and parts bins from sliding up out of reach and for bike trips I use a Raceface T2 tailgate pad with the bins removed. Since I plan on about 10 years of use. Even though the factory audio isn’t that bad, I replaced it with a KickerKey 200.4 DSP amp, 4” Kicker coax in back and a Focal RSE component set up front. About $750 total installed. Not sorry I didn’t spend the extra money on a used Toyota Rav4.

I couldnt tell but if your tonnauo is the kind with the thin slats, given your profession I would paint them white and the appropriately leave some black to mimic the piano look.
