I have a 2024 xlt hybrid with 1900 miles. The thing I am asking about is, when I am at a complete stop I can hear the battery driven motor is running. Then when I take my foot off the brake it starts moving forward. I thought if you were stopped all drive motors were shut off.
If you turn key off then back on there is nothing running. This happens even if there are no accessories on.
This happens whether you on incline or not.

The noise you're hearing is the pedestrian alert noise that is made whenever the vehicle is in any gear. And unless you specifically have Brake Hold on then the vehicle is designed to want to drive forwards at low speeds ("creep") like a regular automatic transmission vehicle would.
