How does the FordPass Connect with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot work? Do I have to pay a monthly subscription to someone to have a Wi-Fi hotspot active on the Maverick? Would my kids be able to stream YouTube or Netflix on their devices with 4G LTE?

You can start with a 3GB trial, but after that it's a paid subscription through AT&T. The connection seems good enough that you could stream video, as long as you have good service, though I could see multiple devices slowing down the pipeline.

We have this in the Mav and my wife's Explorer, if you pay by the year its only $200 and so far we are very happy with it I have 3 girls 22, 16 and 10. with no complaints on trips about speed yet. For $16.66 a month we feel its money well spent.

I would agree that $16/month is a good deal. Thanks for sharing that.

Can or would someone post a link to the AT&T "Terms and Conditions" on the 4G LTE contract? I agree that $17 a month is a pretty good rate. I wonder if they accomplish that with some sort of throttling or data cap. The T&C ought to spell it out so I thought, since I have another FOUR MONTHS to wait and nothing else to do on my new truck ... Uhm, sorry. Just venting. Anyhow. AT&T is not my favorite company but I'd put aside my prejudices and take a look if someone would tell me where and what to look at.

Is there a SIM card slot to put your own SIM into? I would prefer to use my cell/hotspot accounts with T-Mobile.

I should be getting my Maverick in a month.
