Question, if you truck is built, and you have a vin, could you add the vin to your Ford app and the find your truck?

Not unless there is a human sitting in the truck with it turned on when you add it. You have to click some buttons on the infotainment screen in the truck to make the connection official.
If you somehow got that to happen, it will record the position when it was last turned off. So as soon as it gets on the train from Mexico, you would not be able to track it until they offloaded it close to the final destination.
