Finally got my Velocity Blue baby. A couple mods so far.

Here are some things I’ve done on mine: hood struts, tailgate assist, window tinting, knob accents, retractable bed cover, vertical net, catch can for the engine. Some you can’t see: LED cargo/brake lights, LED front signal lights, Napa leather steering wheel cover, seat covers, CarPlay wireless.

Everything looks awesome, that vertical net! I sold my ’04 Vibe and kept the net thinking someday…and the time has come. So glad I didn’t toss it..

Got my '22 Velocity Blue FX4 XLT Lux EB2.0 just 2 days before my year anniversary. I did the obligatory tailgate lettering (love the red outlined black on the blue truck). I also installed Lasfit switchbacks up front and Motorola MA1 android auto wireless adapter. I currently have a tray for the center console ordered as well as the cool $14 Daytime running lights that Redneck garage posted. (look those up if you haven't yet). I will be ordering a bed cover when my fordpass rewards come through. Any must haves that

I don’t know what you have in mind for bed covers but you might take a look at Truck2Go’s SyneticUSA retractable cover. I spent a total of $1007 installed which is even less than the BAK hard roll up cover but I think it will be much more durable as in the life of the truck! Any other cover is going to have to be replaced at some point. There are pros and cons to all of the cover options but it seemed to me that the retractable cover had the fewest cons. So check it out. With some help you could even install it yourself. For me, it was worth the $65 to have it installed. Also if you haven’t installed a Catch Can for the engine you might look into that. They aren’t that much but it’s supposed to help prolong your engine life.

If you’re of a mind to do so you can add wireless CarPlay/Android Auto and wireless charging. No, you don’t have have to take apart your console if you don’t mind the cables showing. Though with some zip ties you can make them look neat. I found a 3D printed holder for the charging puck from Apple that tightly fits the built in charging place. I found it on Etsy. As for the wireless CarPlay device you can’t see it because I used 3M double sided tape squares to stick to the upper part of the cubby hole. I bought the CarLinkit and it works very well. They have an Android version if you need that.

I'll have to look into the hood struts. I don't imagine they are anymore difficult to install than the tailgate assist.

I have a dumb question for you:

I got the orange interior dial accents like you have. On the drive mode dial, did you have to take off the rubber outer grip ring on order to get the orange accent to be able to fit?

It just seems like I'll have to push down really hard to seat it.

Yes, it’s a tight fit but you just have to work on down. Once on you won’t have to worry about it coming off.

Thank you! I didn’t read the fine print and so I have been having fun with my truck. The CO and BAP really inspired me. Plus, I got several good ideas from people on the forum and YouTube videos. I'm sure you're having fun as well.
