I've had a good chuckle at my truck's shipping route...each of the last 3 train stops have moved it farther and farther away from the dealership.

The stuff that dreams (nightmares?) are made of.@XLTLUXRED Mine is a Lariat with the lux package and towing package. Area 51 color. I added rain deflectors and lumen lighting in the bed. Hubs insisted we buy and install the Toneau cover ourselves so that will be ordered once I finally have the truck. Of course this is all pending ... That he has enough head clearance to sit in it!Now that it is off the rail, how do we track it or do we just have to wait? Hubs Ram sat in a railyard near Albany, NY for over a month waiting to be delivered to Brattleboro, VT, so I'm worried.
If that keeps happening, it could simply mean someone forgot to scan yours as it was dropped at an interchange or ramp. Awhile back, someone’s Maverick seemed to be taking a tour of the whole country, when it was actually off the train, but not noted as such. So their tracking was following the train car instead of their truck. One day it simply showed up at the dealership!I've had a good chuckle at my truck's shipping route...each of the last 3 train stops have moved it farther and farther away from the dealership.![]()
Interesting...hadn't thought about that! Yeah, per the NS tracker it was originally at a railyard about 2:45 from the dealership, then 3:45 from it and now nearly 6 hours away from the dealership. My Maverick was in Indianapolis, Indiana enroute to Vermont, but took a tour of Louisville, Kentucky before heading to Buffalo.Interesting...hadn't thought about that! I get nothing from the CSX tracker other than the rail car was released (in October). The other two trackers work, NS tells me my Maverick is eating Deep Dish pizza (last update was Proviso Il).Can anyone help me decipher what is actually going on? Up until a few days ago I have been using CSX to track my rail car (TTGX 987987). As of the 6th, CSX has given me the update of "March 6th 8:00 pm, Departed: ? [sounds like "Adinst" or something], No ETA is available." So I tried Norfolk Southern think that it may have changed over and they give me the update "March 6th, 9:00 pm, Arrived: Kansas City, MO" and no further information. Should I assume that the NS tracking is accurate and that I just need to sit tight or should I be trying to figure out what "Adinst" is and going off of that? Since I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, it's making me stir crazy![]()
When did yours ship and how long has it been sitting in Proviso? I'm sorry that you're also having trouble with the rail tracking! Just one more annoyance to deal with until final delivery. Does NS give you any ETA?I get nothing from the CSX tracker other than the rail car was released (in October). (I believe my Maverick is going via NS to New Castle Delaware) before its final journey by truck.
My delivery was (is?) supposed to be between 3/23 and 3/29. The NS system just says it was there (Proviso) as of yesterday. No further updates. It has been slowly but surely moving, I got the "shipped" email from Ford on 2/25.When did yours ship and how long has it been sitting in Proviso? Another bizarro day for my truck...today's alleged movement (if they're not scanning it improperly) pushed my truck yet another 3.5 hours away from the dealership, so if it IS on the rail still then it's apparently touring the entire Midwest. My Maverick was in Indianapolis, Indiana enroute to Vermont, but took a tour of Louisville, Kentucky before heading to Buffalo.I guess it has to do with which trucks are on that train and where they need to be delivered…?
Well, here's an interesting thing. I've been tracking another member's Maverick along with mine, and her railcar is now deemed EMPTY, received at interchange, and headed toward Louisville, Kentucky (a hub). So, it would appear that her Maverick is either on its way to her dealer (Another bizarro day for my truck...today's alleged movement (if they're not scanning it improperly) pushed my truck yet another 3.5 hours away from the dealership, so if it IS on the rail still then it's apparently touring the entire Midwest.
The truck is now closer to me than to my dealer!![]()
https://www.unitedroad.com/delivery-receipt@DebsMav: Here's an interesting thing. United Road has a division right in Selkirk NY where my Maverick is sitting. I was able to look up a random VIN # on my dealer's website and paste it into the United Road Delivery-Receipts page...and SAW when it was delivered by United Road to MY DEALER! But I still can't make out how to REGISTER my email address on the site. At least I'll be able to see when it's delivered.
If anyone knows HOW to register, please tell me...!
