Greeting from Minnesota,
New to the forum, and have learned a great deal on these pages, including finding Granger Motors, where I have an order in place for an XLT with the 2.0 ecoboost, 4K tow package, XLT luxury, and sunroof.
I have been wanting a pickup truck for a long time, but not one of the oversized, overpriced monstrosities of today. If I purchase a new truck, it would need to also serve as a daily driver. I have zero interest in driving the typical truck. I have tried the new Ranger and the Tacoma and Frontier and came away knowing it would not work for my tastes as a daily vehicle. Of course, part of the problem is that my daily driver has been a Mazda RX-8 or MX-5 for the past decade.
I became intrigued by the Maverick when I heard about it. When I took the first test drive I knew this was a fantastic size that I could absolutely enjoy every day. And when Truck King and TFL Truck put the Maverick to maximum towing tests, I figured it is worth a shot with the 3,300 pound (dry weight) RV that my wife and I enjoy.
And so, if I ever receive my truck, it will place a 20 year owned and much loved 1991 Mercury Colony Park into semi-retirement. To be honest, I cannot wait to get the Maverick, but I am beginning to sense it will be a long wait.
