Hey guys,
Wanted to share a recent experience purchased experience I had. I order a maverick through one of the big dealerships on this sight that was running a special. I recently found out that I was very behind on their list and the odds of me getting a MY22 were slim being a Lariat LUX with pretty much everything you can buy.... So i started to look local in the chicagoland area. Then i found out everyone around here was at minimum 5,000 over MSRP and even some had mandatory "undercoating" add on's as well. So i widened my search, found some builds that were similar to ours but was either a different trim, missing a 4k tow package, or missing a sunroof.
I then came across one at Art hill Ford in Indiana. I cold called them after doing Ford.com's find a maverick near me... Got ahold of Chris at 4pm on friday and found out they weren't charging over MSRP. Build was exactly the same as what we wanted but in Carbonized Grey (we originally ordered area51). I told them we wanted it and offered to pay a deposit over the phone to hold it until Saturday when we can make it over to them. He politely told me not to worry about the deposit and that they'll hold it for us.
We get there on saturday and a nice smooth transaction. Had a slight issue with some information for the Farm Bureau discount (something with my address) but we got it all sorted quickly and we were done.
Just wanted to post a good story here. There still are some dealers out there who aren't price gouging like everyone else.
Now its time to buy some accessories.
