I wanted a fender edge protector from rock chips and road debris. (APOLOGIES IT RAINED THIS MORNING)

Two-Steps

1: I painted the very edge and inside with plasti dip in a can the original dip style, I tried painting from a spray can with tape and a wet edge and wasn't the best. I could go back now and touch up with spray can.

Since I can't get a "NICE LINE" with the plasti dip I just make sure its built up in a few coats.

STEP 2:
Prep with alcohol and apply door edge guard rubber tape. the L folds under the lip and the overlap covers any ugly edge you left with the plasti-dip.

The L shaped tape even fit under the mud flaps really well! I find it funny that the SUV's get that "plastic" moulding around the fenders and trucks don't. After I applied it you basically can't tell its even there!

interesting, I'd add a bead of trim adhesive in the 90deg corner to seal out water/salt from the inside wheel lip
