My Lariat has been listed as In Production since 2/10/2022 with an Estimated Delivery date of 3/24/2022. I noticed this morning that delivery date on the order tracker has now been moved out to 6/22/2022. Any clue what's behind this?

In many cases this means it has moved down the assembly line and is parked waiting on chip related modules or accessories or possibly a spray in bed liner if equipped.

Mine's kind of the same way I'm not as close to my delivery date as you were. Hopefully mine doesn't do the same thing when it gets closer. I'm at 3 weeks now for delivery it would have to be getting on a transport very soon to make the delivery date. Which mine still doesn't say built yet. Does yours say built?

I received additional information from my dealer today. The history report from Ford, only available to dealers, shows that the truck is assembled, short of parts. The vehicle disposition is "Micro Chip at Plant on Hold" with an ETA of 6/16-6/22. The Micro Chip in question is related to the CoPilot 360. So it appears the plant in Hermosillo won't be receiving the electronics until mid-June.

Some are being built. I just got (about an hour ago) my ’built’ email. In production 2/10. Lariat + lux + cp360 + sunroof.

Next hurdle, getting the shipped notice. The built email gives me estimated delivery between 3/23 and 3/29.

Just when I think I've got it figured out:

--Dealer says chip shortage related to cp360

-- very next post reports a just built Mav with cp360

I'm going back to shaking my magic 8-ball.

Same thing had previously happened to me and a lot of other people from build week 1/3. I went In Production 1/11 and ETA at the time was 2/15. Then when February hit, ETA got pushed back to 5/19 because of a chip hold. Then all of a sudden it was built on 2/9 and my ETA moved back up to 3/13. It just shipped on 2/22.

So I’m GUESSING whenever there is a chip delay, they may do a 3 month pushback by default and then as chips become available they finish the trucks as built and the ETA could move back up.

Actually I have a friend that recently got a Bronco and had a similar experience. His delivery went from December, to March, and suddenly back to January. Perhaps as you said, a 3 month delay is automatically added by default for chip delays.
