Been trying to spot a 'live Maverick', as opposed to a Demonstrator fenced inside a Dealer's lot, for months, w/o success, and found that a design quirk [the offset rear liscense plate] made it very easy to answer from a long distance "is it or isn't it a Maverick?". If the plate is centered, it ain't a Maverick. I doubt it was an intentional distinction by the Blue Oval design team, but that offset appears to be a one of a kind, at least within the broad pickup truck category. Could be wrong...
Yesterday, an approaching white truck of a correct size was spotted in city traffic...and confirmed to be a Maverick in the rear view mirror, the offset plate a dead giveaway.
So, that makes '1' driving around in this region. I'll continue to use 'the offset' as an easy telltale.
