Just thought I'd share this option i did - I wanted a dash cam (with rear facing camera) and the cab spoiler from Ford -
so i first installed the camera and mounted it to the 3rd brake light (ran the wire above the interior headliner)
then i installed the spoiler
the spoiler covers it from damage and the weather - hopefully make it last longer and hides it real well and clean. Just food for thought for you guys.
disclaimer** i don't come on here often so ill answer a few of the questions i feel I'm going to get and probably wont be able to reply in a timely fashion hope this all helps
:
1-Dashcam is a Red Tiger - it works great - i highly recommend it. I used the hardwire kit so it has parking mode - again it works great and i highly recommend
2- Rear camera is mounted with 3M tape and with the spoiler protection seems rock solid - the wire runs behind the light into the harness hole into the cab.
3-hardwire kit is sold separately
4-spoiler was super easy to install if you follow the directions and clean the paint good - its on damn good - wont budge
5-no noticeable gas milage change with the spoiler
6-the spoiler does not affect the view of the camera in any way
7- i did not need to modify the spoiler in any way - the camera fits perfectly between the light and the spoiler
