Hard to find the original stuff these days so this was a great find. I used this rubber strip to replace the old worn out door seal of my Maverick. Worked perfectly for my application. The seal is tight and the noise reduction inside the cab is as good as new. Great alternative to the OEM trim, it was a fraction of the price of any “OEM” replacement seal.

Seals are one of those underappreciated parts that make such a difference—quiet cab, no drafts, and a solid feel when the door closes. I’m glad the rubber strip worked perfectly for your Maverick! Was it easy to install, or did you have to wrestle with it a bit?

I recently had a similar experience. I’ve got an old Ram Rebel, and finding decent door for it has been such a challenge. I ended up using a universal seal that was supposed to work for multiple models, and honestly, I was skeptical at first. But once installed, it made a huge difference—completely stopped the drafts and cut down on road noise a ton. It’s amazing how much something as simple as replacing door seals can refresh an older vehicle! Your post gives me hope that there are still great alternatives out there without having to splurge on OEM stuff.
