Delivery date moved up on my fully loaded Lariat (JOY!)

Hooooray!

After being stuck "in production" for over 2 months the truck was marked built on the March 13th and now appears to be on it's way!

Dealer is now anticipating my truck should be in 3/23-3/29 (2022!) instead of 4/23-4-29

Very excited. Plan is to fly in to Las Vegas. Dealer will pick me up and shuttle me to AZ. Finish the deal and then I have a 850~ mile road trip back to the Northern CO foothills.

Not sure if I should take hwy 191 and go through MOAB or hit the 15 fwy until I hit I-70. Both are ridiculously scenic. It's only about a hours difference in drive time (so negligible). Planning on taking lots of pictures along the way.

Wow, that is definitely fully-loaded... same order I have in, minus the moonroof and add-on mats.

When did you order? Nice of the dealer to pick you up.. any reason you didn't order more local?

Not so well equipped Lariat ordered 8/20 built 3/18. How long after your vehicle was built did you get an estimated delivery window?

I was trying to buy locally or in state but none of my local dealers had any Mavericks with a sunroof and power window available. For me, those were non-negotiable MUST HAVE features.

This is another customer's build that became available, IIRC. Considering the markup, picking me up at the airport is the least they could do.

About March 3rd I was browsing online and saw this one. I believe I submitted my interest online and the dealer called me saying it was available, but at a +5k mark up over MSRP.

This happened to be my 'dream' configuration. I couldn't have ordered it better if I tried. I grudgingly agreed, knowing I might not find another one like this at all - much less at a better price.

Dealer represented the vehicle as "already built, just waiting shipment" and said delivery ETA was 4-23 to 4-29)

I slapped down my credit card immediately.

Turns out it wasn't quite built. I gave the dealer a little bit of sass and almost bought a different maverick in the interim... and I feel bad about that now that the delivery date is actually a full month earlier than he originally quoted.

It was about a week after being "built" that my dealer updated me with the new ETA. My vehicle had shown 'shipped' in ford's consumer tracker.
