Same for mine. I even asked why someone who had no idea of order banks open/closing and popping in at the last minute should have the same chance as myself that did my research and made sure to get my order in early. His response was "well in theory Ford should be building in order of time orders were placed". All orders were 19.

For your dealer to put everyone at 19 when other dealers put them at 10 isn't taking care of customers. I think he's savng priority code 10 for special customers or maybe his own. No way to know that, though.

Does not disadvantage YOU one iota. Priority only comes into play once your dealer has an allocation, and Ford has given the allocation to that dealership. Ford would then be looking at which vehicle in that dealer's queue they will selecte to build.

So, if Ford has an XLT Hybrid slot available, they will look at all the XLT Hybrids in that dealer's queue, from highest priority (low number) to lowest priority (high number). If the highest priority order includes constrained items, it won't get selected. But if there are still multiple XLT Hybrids on order form that dealership, only THEN does the priority come into play... If one was at 10 and the other at 19, the 10 would get selected. If ALL the orders are at 19, Ford will randomly choose one to get built.

The scenario plays out the same if ALL the orders are at priority 10 as it would if ALL the orders were at priority 19. Ford doesn't even look at that priority until the dealer has an allocation that came up for the scheduling period.

I see what your saying. Apparently, my dealer got an allocation for a truck. That's when my Priority Code 10 became important and because my truck had no constraints, mine got built over others from that dealership.
I haven't asked them how many orders they have, but it's a long list. Even the salesman I ordered from has one on order.
