On last Sat was driving from Payson to Mesa on Hwy 87 and the check engine Light came on. Was on a long down hill section of 87 doing about 75 mph. Called L H Miller Ford on Mon morning, Got an 8:30 appointment Tues. The problem was A sensor on the heat exchanger for the hybrid battery. Part will take 1 or 2 days, Repair should be completed no later than Fri. Was told I could drive my 24 Mav around town for the next few days. At 75 mph on a long down hill the hybrid battery may have been fully charged and stressing the heat exchanger ( my thoughts).
Update: Actually they replaced the heat exchanger and a connector pipe. (NZ6Z*18K463*B & GU2Z*5K256*A) Parts would have cost $728.26, if not warranty. Labor hrs unknown. That is the good news; the bad news is that the NAV system stopped working.
