THAT is a true "unicorn" right there: A stock-order Hybrid! Guess Ford forgot all about those thousands of customers with Hybrid orders still unfulfilled...

I had been waiting for my Sept 21 Lariat hybrid-loaded. Last month I decided to look at the Eco-boost's. While I was on the lot a Blue Stickered Hybrid showed up. Drove off the lot with a 23 Hybrid. Still waiting to hear about my original vehicle.

Yeah, I bought a rejected order Hybrid First Edition back in November. I finally got a VIN on 4/13 (supposedly scheduled for the week of 6/5). Thankfully, I don't have to hold my breath. If I liked the Area 51 color better, I might just keep the one I've got - but I'm obsessed with the Cyber Orange color on the Maverick. I'm just really tired of the boring "50 shades of gray" (including blue-gray like Area 51) that seems to encompass 95% of the vehicles on the road... And now I'm seeing tons of "matte" finish vehicles that look like they're driving "primer coated" cars... I must be getting old... Oh wait, today's my 67th birthday, so I AM old...

I just saw that Classic ford of Shelby NC has a dealer order hybrid on the way In case anyone is interested. I believe msrp is around 25k
