Backup camera recall didn’t work

What year is your Maverick? I've heard that the older ones are more likely to have issues/take longer...which makes sense, because there are probably more updates to the software to do!

Mine is a 2022 XL Hybrid.
I think I read somewhere in a post that the display appears to be brighter. Can not prove it but mine does look brighter and clearer than before the update

It is a 2023 XL. I picked it up June 2023. My camera worked fine before the update, but it is more clear and crisp and I think faster. There are some other things about the truck program that I believe is different. I am not going to comment on them until I have had more time to be sure.

It took the Mobile Tech about 7 hours to do mine. He went back to the dealership and brought back every program thumb drive they had and finally got it to take. They would completely load the update then it would bomb when the ran the check digit verification. The tech didn't know what the problem was, but was aware there is a problem with some trucks.

When they made the mobile tech appointment, they told me 45 minutes. It took under 25. Didn't lose any settings or anything, and the camera is noticably smoother.. Subjectively it seems like AA might be loading quicker too though I have no way of actually measuring it.
