Looking for a bed rack and can't seem to find everything I want in one package.
Specifically one feature I'd like is a top bar that can be removed relatively easily or only a few screws in the event I have a tall load - any recommendations? I think a limiting factor will be stability with the cross bar removed, so probably best to remove the rear portion near the tailgate - can anyone confirm? Prefer not to use an adjustable bed rail system that needs to be permanently mounted (thule trac rac)
I've seen the truxedo elevate and while it would probably be the best, I don't like the completely vertical legs, looking for something where the legs tilt inward at a slight angle.
As of now I'm thinking the harbor freight/home depot generic rack special at $300 and cutting/modifying it to be slightly above the roof line.
