I know this is an older post. I found a cap dealer in PA that has 3 of these units in stock. I got a paint match 23” dcu for my 25’ Maverick and a cargo slide 70% 1000lb installed this Friday 3/28/25 for 4200$. Has ladder rack driver and passenger side tool box. Will add pictures when it’s finished.

I'll have to toss up pictures of my DCU install on a Maverick 2023 XLT. But, looks about the same as other pictures here in this post. However, I did add tool bins on both sides. This is a field technician truck and parts/material storage is a premium. No roof rack installed. Pickup that up via Amazon.

Care to name the dealer you worked with?
as of 11/26/2024, the ARE DCU starts around $2,800'ish as a base reference: no paint to match, no ladder rack, etc.
Gawd I got old, I paid $1,200 for a nice new Leer fiberglass side windows open, carpeted on the inside of the topper, A paint matched topper back in 2008 for my Taco.
Paid $1,300 fir a similarly equipped fiberglass paint matched topper for my 2013 F-150

They wouldn’t cost $2,000- $3,000 if people would stop paying so much.

An aluminum topper for $2,800 !
I hated those, they were always rattling, always noisy.
Maybe they’re better now days but I’ll never know.

I’ve about decided not to even cover the bed with a tonneau cover. I seem to use my truck like a truck often. Always, occasionally hauling bigger stuff.
