Brought my truck in for repair to the Ford dealer. The service person wrote the order, and handed me back the keys. He said I don’t want you to be without your truck. I will call you when all the parts come in, and will fix it in one day.

I once scheduled a recall appointment for my Bronco Sport through the Ford app. I dutifully showed up for the appointment and left my vehicle. The service department called later to tell me that it'd take a month to get the parts and I could come pick up the vehicle. I asked the service manager how this made any sense and he shrugged and said corporate really wasn't very good at connecting the dots. He did give me his direct number for future use and suggested not using the app.
