A Few Semi-random Thoughts about Waiting, and Waiting, and Waiting Again

Well, it finally happened. I got my truck! I thought I'd update another couple of observations.

A. Even through the Ford tracker showed my truck to still be in transit, I got a call from the dealer saying my truck was in. I went and picked it up yesterday and it still doesn't show on Ford's site as even being in prep. So, don't trust that site to have accurate information.

B. My truck was built on 12/8/22. I had it in my driveway on 3/6/23. That's two days shy of THREE MONTHS from built to delivered--and I live in California, so it certainly wasn't a miles to travel type of thing.

Be patient, my friends. The waiting does sometimes end.

When you say order date ,do you mean the date you ordered the truck or the date they started production? Because I ordered mine in September and they didn't start producing until middle of November. Just curious.

That's pretty damn fast, considering all the folks on here who ordered early in 22 and still don't have their trucks...

Man, having a truck built, but not sure where it is reminds me of how it might feel for your wife to have a baby in the hospital, then the hospital trying to figure out where that baby is to get to the hospital room. The joys of Ford - F O R D - Figure Out Railroad Delivery. I know, it is not Ford that delivers them. Just having fun before someone points this out to me. After all, some of us enjoy a smile while others stay serious 24/7.

I'm not sure who you are asking about an order date. I don't think I mentioned it. My first order was placed 11/21/21 for a MY22. My second order was placed the day ordering opened. Total days from first order to delivery was 470 (88 of which were shipping).
