We purchased the Tekonsha 7-wire Tow Harness, that is specific for the Ford Maverick
PART NO 22128. When I got ready to install it today, I realized that the instructions were specific to the gas powered Maverick (based on the battery location described). We have a lightweight tear drop camper (1500 lbs) that needs the 7 pin for the the traliers electric brakes and trailer battery charge. Does anyone know if the Hybrid can support the requirements of the 7 wire connection?

7 wire harnesses just have 3 extra wires.
the standard 4 wires are running lights, left brake/turn, right brake/turn and ground. The additional 3 wires are brake, which needs to be hooked up to a trailer brake controller, 12 volt power for charging the trailer battery. The last pin is for reverse lights. If you are wiring yourself, I would recommend a 40 amp self resetting breaker
Like this one if you are running directly from your battery and at least 10 gage wire. You will need 2 breakers, one for the power and one for the brakes. When I wired my van, I used 10 gauge wire for the trailer brakes as well, as recommended by my trailer brake controller.

I did this (as above) for mine.
Has been great for thousands of miles.

There are holes from the battery "box" under the seat to the undercarriage. I didn't have to drill anything. May have to start under the truck and "fish".

I did not connect the back-up lamps wire. My tailer has no back-up lamps.
I left that pin disconnected for the time being.

Best of luck, but not a difficult task.
