To make a call, both the touchscreen and the voice assist only work as expected with the truck in "park". While driving, the touchscreen allows me to search and select my contacts but then will not make the call. The voice assist responds with a message similar to "I cannot make phone calls". The system works fine as long as I have the phone plugged in to Android Auto, so I'm thinking this is a vehicle vs Bluetooth issue. At first, I thought it could be a safety thing, but as I said, the touchscreen allows me to search and select from my contacts while driving.
So far, my dealer's suggestion is to always plug in, which really is not a big deal, but doesn't explain why the system is acting this way.
I'm just curious if anyone else has experienced this, and more so, if they found a solution.
