Sorry if this is a duplicate, but does anyone have details on how the "offroad" mode in the 2025 mavericks differs from the mud/ruts and sand modes from previous years?

Mabey there is an existing thread or a official doc somewhere that I am missing

Found the answer I was looking for. I am posting here for anyone else who is interested:

It seems that the new "Offroad Mode" is just mud/ruts with a new face. I was hoping that it would be closer to sand mode which many users have reported as a more fun, engaging and useful drive mode.

Reading on I noticed that the old Sand Mode and new Lobo mode have incredibly similar descriptions. It makes me think that sand mode was removed from the Fx4 and tremors to further differentiate the Lobo. Which if true is incredibly frustrating.

Here are attached the description for the new and old drive modes:

So I enabled SDM mode 09 (Sand?) in forscan... low and behold it comes up as Lobo mode so you may be right

Although it does say "Track Use Only" and seems to only be for racing mavs so not sure. 🤷‍♂️

Not even surprised tbh. Fords "you will pay more for less" attitude on the new models is very frustrating. Sand mode was supposed to be the most fun and useful mode of the fx4 and tremors.

Increased price and less features is one of the reasons I moved away from the mav and bought something else. Really a shame because it is an awesome little vehicle. Just didn't make sense to me anymore in the current market.

What did you get instead?
I started looking at midsize. The maverick prices weren't far off when I was shopping so the smaller truck just didn't make sense. Looked at the Frontier but settled back on Ranger. Felt it was a good price so they still got me haha.

Don't hate Ford but some of their decisions irk me.

Hopping into this conversation. I wonder if deactivating traction control in "L" would help in sand? Thoughts??
