I never took the glass all the way out - no need. It seems like if you removed the weatherstripping, the glass would just pull out of the door. You wouldn't need to remove the inner door skin. I don't think it will be that difficult to remove.
I kind of question the need to put deadening material on the plastic since it is less resonant by nature. I'm planning to put it together this way and see how it sounds. It will be easy to come back to the regulator panel if needed. I have some thin sheets of CCF (liner) that I may add between...
It goes back together really easy. Once you re-attach the panel, you just slide the window down and it locks back into the track. The glass has holes drilled through it were the tabs on the track lock into it.
I can take pics of the driver's side door when I do that side. I've already closed up the passenger side. I plan on tackling that side on the weekend. On the passenger side I used Kno Knoise Kolossus CLD on the large exposed portions of door skin and then put some thick closed cell foam...
When I started my stereo install I knew I'd want to get some sound dampening inside the door. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a tutorial on how to get the window regulator panel off. After some research on similar vehicles I was able to sort it out. It is actually pretty simple once you know...
I got my truck back in April but didn't bother to post it - looked just like any other Atlas Blue Maverick. Here it is with some wheels (RRW), tonneau cover and cab spoiler.
I've been having the same issue ever since I picked up my truck on 4/4. It seems to go away after re-starting the truck, but not always. Here is a video of the noise. I just brought the truck into the dealer to see if they can troubleshoot it.
Like-new set of rims and tires. Wheels only have 354 miles on them. These will come with the lug nuts, TPMS sensors and "Ford" center caps. The caps (not pictured) were never installed by the dealer. I'm willing to meet up within a reasonable distance. Located in the Rockford area but I'm...
Hopefully this doesn't become an issue for others, but my private offer isn't showing up in Ford's database. I'm suppose to be picking up my truck next week. It looks like I may have to pay upfront and hope Granger gets me a reimbursement after the fact. Ford is so disheartening. You finally...
I like the shelf, but if you made it removable then you could have a shelf or an opening for the trash. Maybe the shelf could be stored on the back of the trash bin and then used when needed.
On Monday I got notified that my truck arrived. I'm planning to pick it up next week. It was built the week of 2/27 and then took three more weeks to arrive at Granger.
With that budget, I'd look into the PowerBass speakers that are designed as drop-in replacements. Most other options will require additional wiring and crossovers.
