There are two different coolers available for towing pack one. The more expensive one is bigger. Not sure what the qualifier was to determine which one ford used. Hoses and mounts will probably be different as well. I have been researching this as well. Maverickxl2022 gave me some good...
Maverick2022xl,
thanks for the info, I will try to run that down and will definitely do the 72 hour access. I agree it would have been cheaper to order the truck with it, but as I stated I stumbled onto my truck without ordering it. I don’t mind paying the extra to put factory fit items in...
So I am looking to add the upgrade radiator, fan assm and aux trans cooler from the 4K tow package to my XL. I have the part numbers for the rad and fan assembly, but am struggling to find numbers for the trans cooler, hoses and mounts. I called my dealer and they weren’t much help. They said...
Yes same on both sides in the rear, but different in the front. Assuming you went with a better quality speak in the front I would double check your polarity. They should absolutely give better bass, based upon the magnet size of the stock speakers. At very least bass level should not decrease!
Sorry for the delayed response. I am using the Rockville 2 ohm dual voice coil 6.5 woofers. They sound amazing. Not going to rattle the car next to me crazy, but clean low bass that sound great inside the truck. If I had to do it over I might step up to the eights, but I am very happy with...
Huge thanks to Maverick2022xl! I have the 2.0 AWD XL with 360 and all modes work. This and the cruise control mod are my first forscan endeavors. Both worked like a charm. On mine I have noticed one thing. It no longer continues showing the mode your in at all times. It shows the modes...
I haven’t replaced them yet but I am looking at the kicker two way 4”. I think it will mount up and add some highs coming from the rear without having to add a separate tweeter like others have done

I actually ran the power cable under the truck. Only the speaker wires and rca cables and one remote wire for the eq under the console. Two bolts on each side of the console close to the floor. Midway and at the back. You have to move the seat all the way forward to get the two in the back...
Take a look at my new thread “lessons learned stock radio”. I cut off the mounts for the stock sub woofer and amp on the wall behind the rear seat. I was able to use stock studs and one car seat mount to put up a piece of painted plywood. I didn’t have to drill any holes in the truck. I...

I say blue or brown because I wrote B as a color and I can’t remember which.

findings: I had to pull a rear speaker and unsolder one wire from a...
Ok after much playing around my findings scratch everything above. The grey/purple that goes to both left and right rear is negative. I found continuity between them. Also I was having a muddy base problem and tried to unplug one low level input to the sub amp and the base tightened up...
Ok so I figured out the wiring. It was a pain. You can not check polarity with a multi meter. I ended up pulling the speakers and in the case of the rear had to unsolder one of the wires tht goes to the cone, so that I could verify which direction the cone traveled when I put 9v to it. So...
I am in the process of installing two amps and a couple of 6.5 dvc subwoofers. I am using a LC2i pro line output converter to go from high level speaker wires to rca. I found in another post a guy said the front speakers were FL + grey/brown. FL - Blue
FR + Green/Brown FR - Yellow/Red.
I...
