These look great and I want to put the same ones on my BAP wheels. How has the experience been with 245 widths versus the stock 225?
Also where did you get the black lug nuts? Those look great with the wheels.
Thanks. Yes, the switch light is on when the lights are off so it is almost always on. That could be it. I'll test the current and probably rewire the switch to be off when lights are off.
Hey Dean, thanks again for the ideas and help with the bed lights battery setup. I have an issue that I can't seem to find an answer to and was wondering if you would know the answer. I added the battery to the bed lights setup as you did about a month ago. Initially, everything was perfect and...
Same here, I pretty much only use the lights when the truck is off so this setup will be perfect. Thanks for the idea. Just to confirm, did you leave the blue wire loose and not spliced into the circuit?
Thanks for sharing the battery and charger idea! My lights initially worked for 30ish minutes after the truck was off, but recently only work when the truck is on. Going to add the battery and charger like you did so I don't have to be annoyed by the power limitations. Do the lights come on at...
Used butt splice connectors with shrink wrap on top to waterproof. similar to these: https://www.amazon.com/PRECIHW-Connectors-Insulated-Electrical-Terminals/dp/B097N65YKF/ref=sr_1_25?qid=1707525399&refinements=p_n_feature_two_browse-bin%3A9648512011&s=industrial&sr=1-25&th=1
Yeah works great other than when the 12v times out and you need to turn the truck back on to get the lights on again. I put the extra effort in to make the job look professional with no loose wires. This required some extra wire splicing and connecting with the butt splice connectors.
If you use a tool to get underneath the plastic you can just pop them off. They are secured pretty tight, so it will take some force. It is secured to the assembly in like 5+ places but should pop off fairly easily.
Here’s the result of my bed lights install with a on/off button and magnetic switch that turns the lights on when you open the bed. The project was slightly challenging with cutting and crimping the wires in many different places and running one of the wires underneath the truck. Having a good...
Assuming you’re referring to the plastic cover inside the vehicle, but it comes off if you pull hard enough. It’s snapped into place no unscrewing or anything.
Smashed my driver-side mirror in a parking garage and had to figure out how to source and install the replacement. Fix was quick and easy as long as you order the correct part. Here is the part I needed:
Door Mirror. Rear View Mirror. Mirror Head - Left, Outer.

Great design, thanks for sharing. I would love to copy it but the bed rug might get in the way.
Also how did you install the button? Did you just cut the wire for the Nilight button and rewire?
