My uncle had a dealer installed electronic corrosion module on his S10 back in the 80's. It didn't work back then and I doubt that it's any better today. Crown, Surface Shield or Fluid Film spray will work better than electronic corrosion prevention.
It’s not the crappy OEM tires that gives false low pressure warnings. Honda Civic does not have an air pressure sensitive TPMS sensor. They rely on the abs sensor to determine if one tire rotates faster than another (flat tire). Not a good system. Prone to falsing all the time and needs to be...
No, I don't think I would buy another Maverick Hybrid.
I get a company car from work and that doubles as my daily driver.
I need a personal vehicle for some occasions. I chose the hybrid because it was the standard powertrain. Now as an upcharge powertrain, I don't think the fuel savings and...
That’s an easy decision. If you don’t need the bed, get the CR-V Hybrid. I have a Ford Edge SUV (company car) and if I had to pick one, I’ll choose the SUV. More practical when you don’t want to get your stuff wet or dirty. Even with tonneau cover, things will get dusty / wet.
FWD Maverick...
I have tried 93 octane 10% ethanol, 90 octane 0% ethanol 88 octane 15% ethanol and 87 octane 10% ethanol. So difficult to notice any difference in using different octane MPG on a hybrid. My highest MPG was using 88 octane 15% ethanol but then again I don't keep track on how much I was driving...
1. Go for the AWD Ecoboost. The wait is too long for a Hybrid. The Ecoboost is powerful enough to spin tires on slippery pavement. AWD gives good traction on slippery starts.
2. Wait to sell unless it's an extra car. There is no mark up when you order.
3. Inventory wil not catch up for a long...
I've had 3 ford edge company cars.
Leased car so oil changes at 10K and cheapest 87 octane gas.
2016 2.0 EB 6 speed AWD - turned in at 60k. No problems.
2018 2.0 EB 6 speed FWD - turned in around 97k. Rodent damaged 02 sensor wire during COVID otherwise no problems
The 2016 and 2018 has the...
I think the dealer realized that a lot of '23 hybrids will not be built this calendar year. They would rather you buy something soon so they can make some money now and they can mark up your order if it ever arrives.
The sales manager at my dealer also thinks that Ford cannot fulfill all the...
You're welcome! I 100% agree that the instructions are not clear and has a few mistakes.
Thanks to you, I found the settings to display the tire pressure. It is also under settings > information.
I think it is a misprint. I tried it on my Hybrid. You did nothing wrong.
You have to go to ON Mode position II
Press Menu > Settings > Vehicle Settings > scroll down to Neutral Tow
If you have a'23 order and you re-order to a '24 Maverick when the order banks open up, don't you loose your spot in line?
I ordered a '22 in October '21. It was switched over in November '22 as a '23 model and it went to production in December '22.
I predict the Ecoboost Mavericks will be super reliable. I'm on my 3rd Ford Edge 2.0L Ecoboost (company cars) totaling 200k miles between them. My latest Ford Edge has the same engine and 8 speed trans as the Ecoboost Maverick.
