I understand that there shady service departments out there but in general they are going to abide by the law. The point of the post is that you aren't going to lose your drivetrain warranty simply because you installed an air intake or a cat back exhaust.
Your Billy Bob example is a perfect...
Obviously, its your vehicle to do with what you want and what you are comfortable with. I don't sell aftermarket parts so have no skin in the game, I was just trying to help the community out and answer a common question.
Correct, if the modification is directly responsible for the problem they do not have to cover the claim. But they can't deny a claim or void your warranty simply due to a modification or the presence of an aftermarket part.
No, you will never see a drive train warranty claim denied due to wheels and tires. If you have a lift that changes the angle of drive line components and start having CV or U-joint issues you could.
No mod can void the warranty outright simply because its there. The mod would have to be...
This is a question that is being asked often here and on social media. It is understandably a major concern for many people as they start down the road of modifying their vehicle. Search the web and you will find plenty of answers from internet “experts”, but as usual most of them totally...
That would require an entirely new suspension, arms and all, and driveline components too. It would be a really expensive endevour for what would mostly be a cosmetic modification. With the factory AWD set up it will never be a particularly potent off roader.
Great vid! I came to the same conclusion and have two catch cans on the way. The truck is still on a train somewhere so they will probably be here before it is.
You definitely don't have to worry about that with Eibach. Beyond their own branded springs, Eibach contract manufactures many of the other brands of springs out there.
The two biggest factors in the price are 1) where its manufactured, and 2) how much time it takes to machine. To the first point, I can tell you from experience that in bulk you can get items machined in China and shipped to the US for 1/3 the cost of having them machined down the street from...
First aftermarket replacement system I've seen from one of the big manufacturers. Looks like the same part number for the Bronco Sport and Escape works on the Maverick according to them. Not a fan of the accordion section, would prefer to see a silicon coupler there...
That is a very cheap universal China special that they slapped their sticker on and marked up. I wouldn't run it but you can get it minus the sticker for a lot cheaper off Amazon. Link below. (n)
