Former Baja owner. Would definitely consider a Subaru, Toyota, Honda or Mazda trucklet if it was a hybrid. My only complaint about the Baja was mediocre mpg. Loved the smaller size of the Baja and wish the Maverick were a tad smaller. I never had a problem with the Bajaāit had 300k on it when I...
Iām very sorry this happened to OP. Iām glad everyone is okay. I hope negative posts wonāt keep the OP from posting updates. We can all learn from this experience, especially if the OP continues to share news about the insurance claim, repairs, etc.
Hi, my name is Karen
Iāve had this happen to two vehicles. We live in the country and raise horses. There are not enough cats in the world to keep the field mice at bay. They like a car thatās parked in one place and not being run. We had one move into the headliner of our Dodge Ram. Another ate the wiring to the...
According to Carscoops and Muscle Cars & Trucks, Ford patented a system that to climate control bed space. MCT says, "Applied in June 2020 and published 18 months later, the Ford Motor Company patent claims that the design incorporates a 'cab back panel has a hidden section outside the cargo...
I have to say that the waiting is super annoying, but I want what I want no matter the wait. If my build ends up being pushed to MY23 because of the Lux package, then so be it. I plan to turn the Maverick over in 3-yrs. Wonder what the sweet spot will be for ordering a new one thenā¦
Agree with you 100%. However, I am also seeing posts from people unwilling to wait. Iām in it for the long haulāIāll wait as long as I have to. My question is what are some of the awesome features that make other people willing to wait like me?
The hybrid Maverick is the only vehicle on the road right now that meets my particular needs:
good commuter mileage (equivalent to my gas Civic hatchback)
cargo bed (so tired of hauling smelly gas cans, feed, etc. in the hatchback)
right-sized (I'm short!)
This is my first special order--I've...
I found this (albeit out-of-date) sample invoice illustrating X-plan savings. Seems to me FB $500 off is a no-brainer for an XL build, but someone with a Lariat including all the bells and whistles might be better off trying to do X-plan. It looks like I'm at least six months out, and Ford stock...
The most recent episode of the Planet Money podcast has some really interesting information about the worldwide supply chain crisis. It's an 18-minute listen or you can read the transcript.

I chose Cactus Grey because I drive some dusty roads, and I thought it wouldn't show dirt too badly. Now I wish I'd picked something that would offer more contrast. It's hot in Texas, so I'm playing with the idea of a white roof. Maybe adding a white bed cap would complete the look. Thoughts?
I'm inspired by the two tone paint jobs of trucks past and present. Is this look too retro? What color combos would be best with the Maverick? Anyone tried this yet?
