So 3 solid days with the above update with no adverse effects or trouble codes. I replaced the SXM antenna with the later recommended 2 piece solution, and the SXM trouble code stopped, and the error on the satellite radio screen saying antenna problem. I'm declaring this one conquered.
So I went lurking on auto trader and found a VIN for a 26 XLT 2.0 FWD, and made an assumption that the 22 to 26 dimensions, track, weight, tire diameter, etc. are the same. I downloaded the full as built config from the ford website. I also assumed that the APIM mounting angle in the 26 match...
Finished wrestling with the Sync 4 8" upgrade. Not so much for ooohs and aaahs, cause it was originally conquered 4+ years ago, but I feel a sense of accomplishment. I now have wireless Android Auto, HD radio, SXM capability (not subscribed yet cause the antenna is flaky) Add it to the larger...
I accidentally posted in the wrong thread...there are two very similar ones. Sorry for that.
Ok, its 4+ years removed from when this was first conquered, but I too have completed the Sync-4 8" conversion in my XLT. As of last night I had corrected the last of the bothersome effects (e.g...
I know you asked over 6 moths ago, but I am in the thick of this now... I have an ACM from a bronco sport, and it has SXM and HD. Bluetooth I believe is a function of the APIM if I am not mistaken. I went with the 8" Sync4 upgrade per the XL/XLT to Sync 4 upgrade thread here. When I first...
Your statement has me worried. I never thought about Ford Pass. What happens if it senses an unexpected change to mileage before forscan adjusts the odometer up correctly. Do I need to disable the telemetry module before the swap? Disconnect the link for Ford Pass from the center screen...
As predicted, checked the bed cover off the list. My next 2 projects are adding heated seats/wheel, and speaker upgrades. Since we're almost out of winter (70F in St. Louis tomorrow), I'll likely go for the speakers.
I just did a Ford liner and a RC cover. The sides of the bed liner have the hole center marked for the drain grommets on the inside, so its pretty easy once you pop off the side walls
So its a couple days late, but over the weekend I added the modular bedliner from Ford, Added the receptacle panel on the drivers side bed, and added the Ford pork chop toolbox on the passenger side of the bed.
Tonight I will hopefully get the Rough Country hard bed cover on.
Makes sense. I just bought a liner from Ford, and there is not a single hole in any of it. You have to cut every screw/bolt hole and opening. It appears yours is cut around the cubby/panel and not under it (i.e screws go through the cubby AND liner).
I assume you installed your liner yourself. What did use use to cut out the squares around the cubby/receptacle panel? I am about to undertake this, but am nervous to cut it clean.
Ok I have the right photos this time... Anything with the orange wrap has wiring for the inverter (or the hybrid HV, but not on this harness) This same harness has the light's connector on this panel and the switch button connector. It includes everything that wraps around the tailgate opening...
So once it get back above freezing (which may be in March at this point) I am going to tackle adding this. I bought all of the parts above, and the harness from salvage. The only thing I dont have is the fastners for the outlet to the panel and the panel to the bed. I hate the way Ford shows...
Here is a photo of the LH bed harness that contains the outlet wiring. If the harness has the 110V wiring, it will have the orange wrap as a dead giveaway.
Nope, scratch that, this is the interior connector to the outlet in the back of the console. II am adding both of them and got them...
I'm out of the loop here....what is the risk to the hood paint from the wipers?
I was just disappointed this morning my app told me due to the extreme cold, the vehicle was in power saving mode, and I would have to start the vehicle in person.
Did you just hook up the old system and power it up, or did you go through the whole repairing process between the app and vehicle? From what I understand, the master reset of SYNC4 severs the paring with the ford pass app network. the sync4 setup is incapable of repairing with the Maverick...
