I will say, on cold startup it’s pretty loud lol. But once the idle settles down it’s really quiet (At least mine is with the two resonators). I need to stand behind it and let someone drive down the road to hear that perspective.
I finally got the chance to contact Thermal again to check on swapping for the newly designed tailpipe section. I had previously spoken with Victor and he was supposed to send me an email with the steps I needed to take. Turns out Victor is no longer at Thermal, so my request must have fallen...
So you had the kit from when the tail section was just a simple pipe right? And now you have the tail section with the resonator (and still the original middle chamber section). The person I originally talked to thought the middle section chamber had also been redesigned, but if you have the...
Thanks for checking. I talked to someone at Thermal, he said the middle resonator is now a three chamber instead of two and the extra one in the tail section is a sound absorber. They did the redesign after some feedback and decided there was still some drone at certain frequencies/rpms. I...
if you get a chance to look I’d be curious to know if your tail pipe section is like this or just a straight pipe like mine. Just comparing experiences :)
Do you have the original design with the single resonator chamber, or the newer one with two? I have the original with the turndown and I get a pretty good drone at part throttle between 1650 and 1950 rpm. It's not terrible, but my wife doesn't like it lol. No issues otherwise.
Has anyone ordered the rubber bed mat from Ford lately? I ordered one just over a month ago and the status still says "In transit to dealer". That seems wild to me. I ordered something else on the same order and it came to the dealer 2 weeks ago.
I use recirculate when needed, in situations like you mention. But most of the time I like having fresh outside air mixed in. It's really just a preference thing IMO.
Thank you :) I did 20% ceramic tint on the front windows, and then 70% ceramic on the windshield with a 5% top strip. I thought about 50% on the windshield, but the 70% blocks the same amount of UV and only 6% less heat reflection. I decided I'd rather not worry about forward vision on...
