Not in my 2024 lariat at least. it doesn't disable when you're in drive, it's when you get going a couple miles an hour. I am assuming this is based on some input from the truck though, cuz it'd be weird if it was just based on a GPS calculation..

Thx for the replies. Ya the voice works great, love it. Just don't always want to mess with it, wanted to see if anyone found a way to disable this particular safety feature, like you can for the built-in nav.

Anyone found a Forscan option to allow text input in Android Auto while in motion? I guess its be something to disable the speed lockout signal? Didn't see it discussed anywhere. The swings discussed for the built-in navigation don't seem to help with Android Auto. Thanks, -Evan

Well the 'similar threads' for me, and anything I could find in search, are mostly all about some issue with the truck auto-locking after you leave the vehicle.. not what I'm asking about here. And several other righteous manual-quoters like the guy above talking about disabling auto-unlock...

Anyone have any luck here? The scenario for me is: - Drive to school, locks auto-lock @ 10mph or whatever - Stop to pick up kid, I stay in the car, so nothing triggers auto-unlock. Other cars, shifting to P will do it. - Or stop to drop off kid, I stay in the car, they exit the passenger seat...
