Only waterproof solution is a bed cap. Water resistant you are looking at $1000 for a decent choice and adding additional seal around the tailgate helps too. I have the X4s for over a year holds up wonderful

Just be careful with larger wood sizes, originally I tried to use a 2x12 instead of 2x 2x6s and I struggled getting the wood in and out of the flex bed slots without a great deal of maneuvering

I got the BAK Revolver X4s and absolutely love it, looks, fits and works wonderfully. I originally wanted to go with an electric metal rollup, but with a 4.4 foot bed I didn't want to sacrifice the foot that the box takes up.
