Per the video, if just kicking up something on the road dented the slider, I'm concerned if it would handle the proportional weight of the vehicle shifting onto a rock. Agree with @TJ2023, this looks like more of a step and less of a trustworthy slider.

I’d forgotten the other reason I want the EB is specially because I don’t want a CVT after seeing the relatively short lifespan of them in our Subaru (~100k miles or so). I know the tech is improving, but I prefer things that have a shot at being serviced and repaired than just replaced.

We did the test drive tonight of the FX4 and to my surprise the wife loved it. I was pleasantly surprised as well. Barring second thoughts after sleeping on it, we’ll probably move ahead tomorrow.
