I wish I would have waited. The technicians are low on the evolutionary ladder at my dealership. Made a mess of the interior of my new truck and still have no remedy for my remote start not working since the " airbag fix".
I have purchased from this dealer before, but you're correct. It is inexcusable. This was the second dealership I took my truck to for the recall. The first was even less knowledgeable about the truck...if that's possible.
I have a feeling my dealerships service department is lacking ability to do anything correctly. When I took the truck in, the service guy said he didn't know ford was making Mavericks again.
I took my truck in for the airbag recall, now the truck is in constant deep sleep mode and won't remote start. When I took the truck in for the recall, the guy at the service kiosk said, "I didn't even know Ford was making Mavericks again." I should have turned around and walked out.
I had my airbags replaced last week due to the recall. Ever since then the truck is in constant deep sleep mode. Even after driving it over 40 miles, the remote start will not work. I have the Hybrid Lariat model. Anyone else having this issue?
